BETTY NORRIS, age 80, a longtime Irving resident, died Monday, January 5, 2015 at Hospice Care Center of Wichita Falls. Born May 7, 1934 in Vernon, Texas, the daughter of Herman Schwarz and Minnie Bohot Schwarz, Betty lived in Irving from 1953 to 2005 when she moved to Burkburnett, Texas. She was a Lutheran. Preceded in death by her sister, Eleen Dardis; brothers, Ewald and Tony Schwarz; husband Arthur Norris, Sr. and stepson, Arthur Norris, Jr., aka Sugarfoot, survivors include her sister, JoAnn Stanford of Burkburnett; brother, Clarance Schwarz and wife Glenda of Vernon; nieces and nephews, Mark Ball, Robin Witt, Bobby Zuhn, Peggy Keener and Beverly Robertson. Visitation will begin 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 8 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. Services were held Thursday at the funeral home. Burial was at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, 1413 East Irving Blvd. in Irving.
