BETTY MEYERS, age 78, a resident of Irving for 49 years, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, died Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at home. Born February 1, 1933 in South High, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Frank and Pearl Howard Hukill. Betty was raised Baptist. A longtime real estate agent, she was a member of the Metroplex Glass Club, Irving Senior Center and Canasta Club. Preceded in death by her husband, Horace Meyers, brother, George Hukill and sister, Bonnie Webb, survivors include her sons, Rick Meyers and wife Rhonda of Oklahoma, Gary Meyers and Mark Meyers, both of Irving; daughter, Pam Trimble and husband Curtis of Euless; grandchildren, Christy, Ricky, Whitney, Tucker, Mason and West; great grandchildren, Elle, McKenna and Emma; and sister, Shirley Hamilton. Service 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 18 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. A viewing prior to the service begins at noon. Burial will follow at Bear Creek Cemetery in Euless.
