Betty L. Jordan, age 77, a resident of Irving for 51 years, passed away at her home on Saturday, May 14, 2011. Born July 21, 1933 in Dallas, TX, she was the daughter of Truett and Bertha Hoffman Greene. Preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Jaydon White, survivors include a daughter, Kathy Phillips of Irving; son, Mike Phillips and wife Margaret of Euless; grandchildren, Katie Phillips and Virginia King, both of Euless; sister, Bev White and husband James of Irving; nephew, Scott Childress and wife Kara of Euless and extended family, Tim, Sherrie, Jordan, Jared and Jacob McDougal, all of Lubbock, TX. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday, May 15, 2011 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 16, 2011 in the Chapel of First Baptist Church of Irving, with Rev. John Durham officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving. Memorials may be made to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
