BETTY L. BENNETT, age 91, a resident of Irving since 1961, died Friday, October 20, 2017 at Baylor, Scott and White Medical Center in Irving. Born April 4, 1926 in Thomas, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of the late Henry Condy Fiolle and Luella Dempsey Fiolle. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma. She married M. D. Bennett, June 26, 1948 in Oklahoma City. They moved to Irving in 1961. M. D. preceded her in death June 10, 2006. She was a retired operating room nurse. A member of First Baptist Church in Irving, she was a Boomer Sooners fan. Preceded in death her husband in 2006 and a daughter Sabrina Trujillo in 2010, she is survived by her grandchildren, Timothy J. Trujillo, Jr. and wife Alma and Eryn Sundman and husband Eric; great-grandchildren, Magnolia Noli R. Trujillo, Serenity Trinity Sundman, Sebastian Sundman, Gabriel Sundman, Emma Sundman, and Michael Sundman; sister, Rosemarie Cummings; son-in-law, Rev. Timothy J. Trujillo, Sr. and wife Vicki; and several other family members and friends. The family will receive friends 6:00 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. The funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at the chapel of First Baptist Church, 403 South Main Street in Irving. Burial will be at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday at Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway in Dallas. Rev. Wayne Watkins will officiate. SERVICES
