BERTHA MURRAY, age 91, of Irving, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, February 24, 2011 in Irving. Born July 8, 1919 in Ardmore, Oklahoma, to Nellie and Jim Barnes. She lived in Irving for the past 58 years. She was the widow of R. W. Murray who preceded her in death in December 1993. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Irving for many years and her faith gave her the strength to go on after 52 years of marriage. She worked 24 years at LTV/Vought Aircraft Industries in Grand Prairie. Survivors include her daughter Sheri Jipp and husband, John of Grand Prairie; son, Michael Murray and wife, Karen Kirscht Murray of Plano, Texas; 4 grandchildren, Nikki, Ricky, Mikie, and Todd; and 6 great grandchildren, Rebecca, Priscilla, Melissa, Maureen, Madeline, and Johnny. A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, 606 W. Airport Freeway, Irving, TX. Burial will be 2:00 p.m. at Highland Cemetery in Durant, Oklahoma. She will be missed immensely by family and friends who were lucky enough to be a part of her life.
