Becky Wood, 82, of Midlothian, formerly of Irving and East Texas, died Monday, October 25, 2021 at Baylor, Scott, and White Medical Center in Waxahachie. Born December 20, 1938 in Dallas, she was the daughter of the late Garland Shaw and Dorothy V. Bentley Shaw. She operated Personal Touch Photography for many years, lived in Irving about forty-five years and the last twenty she has lived in East Texas and Midlothian. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Midlothian.
Preceded in death by her parents; two brothers Garland Shaw and Charles Shaw; and a sister Billie Jo Evans, she is survived by five children, Sheri Dudley and husband Kent of Midlothian, Sammy Wood of Keller, Kimlan Nabors of Dallas, Beth Lucia and husband Brian of McKinney, and Walt Wood and wife Judy of Mineola; eleven grandchildren, Autumn Ripperda and husband Chris, Madelyn Wood, Nicole Ozymy, Trent Nabors, Cody Hall, Craig Hargrove and wife Laura, Marshall Dudley and wife Sarah, Jacob Wood, Shane Wood, Isabella Lucia, and Giovanni Lucia; and eleven great grandchildren, Graham Ripperda, Wyatt Ripperda, Colton Everett, Logan Everett, Elliott Nabors, Hannah Hargrove, Emma Hargrove, Preston Hargrove, Rhodes Dudley, Silas Dudley, and Leighton Shaw.
Funeral services are planned for 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 1, 2021 at First Baptist Church in Midlothian ( 1651 South Midlothian Parkway 76065). The body may be viewed from 9:00 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Laurel Land Memorial Park, 6000 South R. L. Thornton Freeway in Dallas. 75232 under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home of Irving, 606 West Airport Freeway.
