Graveside services for Barbara Luce Sartain, 72, of Irving will be 10:30 AM, Thursday, February 8, 2024, at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, TX. Rev. Jason Snyder of Prestonwood Baptist Church will be officiating. Barbara was born to Charles and Marian Luce on July 17, 1951 in Grand Rapids, Michigan and she passed away Saturday, January 27th in McKinney, TX. Barbara attended Calvin College for her freshman year before transferring to TCU and becoming a permanent convert to Texas. After graduating with a degree in fashion merchandising she worked at the downtown location of Neiman Marcus. While in Texas she uncovered her passion for sewing, singing and for Jesus. She attended Prestonwood Baptist Church for the last 30 years. She loved to travel and took several trips abroad with her mother Marian over the years. Barbara will be remembered as a wonderful chef and devoted wife and grandmother and will be deeply missed. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 10 years, Stephen Sartain, son, Andrew David Watts and his wife Julie; step-children, Michael Watts and his wife Stacy, Shelly McConnico and her husband David and Daniel Ryan Sartain and his wife Maranna; brothers, Bob Luce and Tom Luce; grandchildren, Grant Watts, Parker Watts, Gavin Watts, Gracy Watts, Ruby Watts, Austin McConnico and his wife Danielle, Ashlyn Dean and her husband Tyler; Great grandchildren: Sawyer McConnico, Stetson McConnico and Lawson Dean.
