April Marie Davidson Hartnett, 33, went to be a flower in God's bouquet at 3:15 a.m., Sunday, June 13th, 2010 in Houston, TX. Her love and kindness was too grand for this world. April was born on Monday, July 12th, 1976, in Denison, TX, and was raised in Euless, TX. Her adventurous spirit and devotion to her husband's military career took her to live in New York, Oklahoma and Tennessee. She started a bakery out of her home, where she created stunning cakes, oftentimes incorporating her remarkable sense of humor. She was majoring in American Sign Language at Lonestar College in Houston, TX, determined to minister to, and make a difference in the deaf community. In 2006, she was awarded the Artillery Order of Molly Pritcher Medallion by the 2/2FA Lieutenant Colonel- the highest honor for a military spouse-for her significant voluntary contributions to the improvement of the United States Army Field Artillery Community. There is no doubt that April's life demonstrated a likeness to Christ; which is now her merited crown of glory in heaven. She was blessed with the voice of an angel, the wisdom of a prophet, and the compassion of a saint. During her lifetime, she displayed many fruits of the spirit love, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness--the harvest of a life well lived. The fingerprints of her tenderness are evident in the lives she transformed. April, never has there been, and never again will there be another you. April is survived by her dearly loved husband, Michael Aaron Hartnett, and her precious daughter, Tyra McKenzie Hartnett; her mother and step-father Phillis and Robert Mullin; her father and step-mother Danny and Janice Davidson; her siblings Alicia Patty, Clay Mullin, Dorcinda Pipkin, and Mandy Lennie; her grandmother Doris Mullin; and numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
