Obituary

I have fought a good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith -2 Timothy 4:7 Mrs. Annnamma Chacko was born to the late Mr. K.K. Thomas and Chinnamma Thomas, Kalloor House, Niranam, Mannar. She was the third of her four brothers and three sisters, all of whom were raised in a godly manner and as devout Christians in the traditional Jacobite church. Annamma was married to Mr. Thayiparampil Chacko, in Vakathanam, Kottayam, Kerala at age of twenty. Later, on Dec 10, 1956, they moved to Madras in connection with his job. She had a great passion to reach out to others through evangelism by distributing tracts and sharing the gospel. Her life of prayer, fasting and intercession, hospitality, generosity and a caring heart for all whom she came across will be cherished. Our mom was the first person to come to the faith from her family. Through her life and testimony, many of her siblings came to follow Christ. She and her family took active part since the early days of the IPC Church at Madras. Amama worked tirelessly along with our dad for the church building project for IPC Zion Assembly at Amenjikarai, Madras. She was always the go-to person for many who needed prayers and support. Amama is survived by her husband T.S. Chacko, son Titus C Thomas, wife Joice, grandchildren Effie and Geoff; daughter Gracy Samuels and husband Pastor Sam C Samuels (Virginia), grandchildren Alan and Jane, Alena and Clements; daughter Salomie Thomson (Jessy) and husband David Thomson, grandchildren Wesley, Stanley and Ashley; son Pastor Paul Chacko and wife Joice Chacko, grandchildren Samuel and Joshua. On Oct 20, 2017 at 8:30 am, the Lord called our mom home to be with Him surrounded by her loving husband of 61 years, children and grandchildren. We will miss her, but her legacy and her smile filled with grace will be in our hearts and minds until we meet her in eternity. Visitation will be 6-9PM Friday, November 3, 2017 at IPC Hebron Dallas 1851 Wall Street Garland, Texas 75041.
