ANITA SANCHEZ TORRES, age 84, of Southlake, formerly of Grapevine, TX, went to be with the Lord and received her angel's wings on Saturday, April 9, 2011 in Grapevine. Born July 26, 1926 in San Juan, Texas, she was the daughter of Martin Sanchez and Felipa Vega Sanchez. She lived in San Juan, Texas for many years before moving to Grapevine in 1960 and then to Southlake in 1979. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Alejandro Torres and two brothers, Simon Sanchez and Juan Sanchez, she is survived by two brothers, Pedro Sanchez and Pablo Sanchez, both of San Juan, Texas; seven sisters, Pia Salinas of Southlake, TX, Jovita Salazar of Fort Worth, Frances Garza and Angela Ybon, both of Lewisville, TX, Andrea Sanchez of Southlake, Josie Solis of Irving, and Adela Torres of Pharr, TX; and many nieces and nephews. A vigil will be Wednesday 7:30 p.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 861 Wildwood Drive in Grapevine. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 14, 2011 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, with Fr. Anh Tran, Celebrant. Burial will be at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville. Flowers may be sent to Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home in Irving or to the church.
