Anita was born on January 1, 1943 in Dallas, Texas to Clyde Wade Apple and Lola Frances Vineyard. Anita died on November 10, 2020. Clyde Apple was lost over the Mediterranean Sea in World War II. In 1946 Frances married M.Z. (Pete) Gandy. Anita is predeceased by both Pete and Frances Gandy. Anita graduated from Bryan Adams High School in Dallas in 1961, and she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Dallas in 1965. She began her career as an editor at the Federal Reserve System in Dallas. She retired from McCann-Erickson after 30 years as an editor. She is survived by her brothers Steven Philip Gandy and his wife Meg, David Matthew Gandy and his wife Debbie; nieces and nephews Ian, Megan, Justin and his wife Jesse (Austin June and Taj), Ryan, and Cody. Anita is further survived by William H. Rogers, her best friend and lifetime companion of fifty-three years. At Anitas request, no funeral or memorial services are planned.
