Agnes "Jean" E. Guest, was born December 4, 1934, in Crockett, TX the daughter of Edgar Poe Gilley and Mary E. Cook Gilley. She passed away Wednesday, September 20th at the Garland Nursing & Rehab in Garland, TX.
Jean took everything she did seriously. Her early career was as a licensed hair dresser. She leased space, but not being enough, she had custom sink installed in the family room, cleverly disguised by a workstation built by Raymonds dad for additional services. Her next career was all about taking care of the children. She sought a license from City of Irving, added a room to back of her home with plenty of space for play area and beds for napping. This career carried her into her 70s when she retired, although continued to care for a special needs child up until her life change. Not giving up, she withstood everything life threw her way, being run over, Covid twice, Sepsis, and still fought to live her best life. Mom was feisty, a fighter, a caregiver, and a loyal friend. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings; Mary Jane Gilley Lamb, Maudie Loudine Gilley, Lillie Josephine Gilley Jessup, & Charlie Lou 'Dot' Caviness Humphries.
Left to cherish her memory is her son: Raymond Glenn Guest and his wife, Debbie Clawson; Grandchildren: Ray Gregory Guest and RoLinda Rae Guest; Great Grandchildren; Destiny and spouse Brady, Caden, Courtney, Christopher, Bradley, Bentley and Sofia and her siblings Tommy Joe Caviness and James Ralph Caviness
